Trevor Lawrence suffers dirtiest hit of the year from Texans, leading to massive brawl and ejections.
Trevor Lawrence returned to the Jacksonville Jaguars starting lineup on Sunday against the Houston Texans, after missing the previous two games with an injury to his left shoulder.
His return likely made the Jaguars a bit more protective of their quarterback, and that showed early in the first half. With Lawrence scrambling on a second-down play the QB got to the first down marker and slid to give himself up. But Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair came in with a vicious hit to Lawrence’s head and neck area as the quarterback was sliding, prompting multiple Jacksonville players to respond in defense of their quarterback.
The incident touched off a melee along the Jacksonville sideline:

Al-Shaair was ejected, along with Jaguars cornerback Jarrian Jones who was involved in the post-play scrum along the sideline.
Lawrence was taken off the field on the cart, with the crowd chanting his name as he left the field. He has been ruled out for the game with a concussion.
