The Mayor of Louisville revealed on Saturday the the policeman who detained Scheffler did not have his body camera on.

The Mayor of Louisville, Craig Greenberg, revealed Saturday that no body camera footage of Scottie Scheffler’s arrest exists.

Police placed Scheffler in handcuffs early Friday at the PGA Championship, charging him with assaulting a police officer—a penalty punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

But Gillis did not have his body camera turned on.

“The officer did not have a bodycam footage turned on during the incident we will release the footage that we have,” Greenberg said per WDRB in Louisville.

“We did not have any... to my knowledge. We have not discovered any video of the initial contact between Officer [Bryan] Gillis and Mr. Scheffler.”

Police then released Scheffler, who arrived at the golf course 57 minutes before his Friday tee time. Scheffler then went out and shot a 5-under 66, a round he called “one of the best of his career” following a “big misunderstanding.”

Despite that, the police report indicates that Scheffler “refused to comply and accelerated forward, dragging Detective Gillis to the ground.”

Scheffler’s attorney, Steve Romines, called those allegations “false.”

Nevertheless, Scheffler will appear in court on Tuesday morning at 9 a.m.

Then, Scheffler will head to the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial, not far from his native Dallas, Texas. The PGA Tour currently has Scheffler in the field.
